"This One Goes to Eleven" is the sixth episode of the third season of the Murdoch Mysteries and the thirty-second episode of the series.
James Pendrick had finished construction on the Pendrick Building, which he himself designed. He and his wife held a gathering to display Bathsheba at Her Bath by Rembrandt, however a daring theft takes place. Murdoch along with other police were at the scene as requested by Pendrick, as well as Dr. Ogden. When the painting was retired for the evening to be put back into storage, he saw the painting put on the elevator on the 11th floor, which went directly to the first floor without stopping where Constables Crabtree and Higgins were waiting for it to arrive.
When the doors open, all they find is a dead security officer and no sign of the painting or how it might have been removed. Murdoch soon finds evidence of a false car above the elevator which leads him to the thieves, both dead, but there is no sign of the painting. They were professional thieves from Chicago and Murdoch determines that it is all part of a scheme to sell forgeries of the painting in question.
While he tracks down the forger, he's not sure he's found the mastermind behind the scheme. The detective pursues the criminal and demands the know the name of his employer. However, the forger overpowers him, but is about to speak when James Pendrick shoots the man, saving Murdoch's life and possibly silencing him. Murdoch remains suspicious that Pendrick was somehow involved in the complicated theft, as inside information was needed to perform the heist.
