Shanice Banton is a Canadian actress best known for her work on the Emmy-nominated teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation, in which she starred for three seasons. Notable film and television appearances include a supporting lead role in the critically acclaimed Jesse Owens biopic Race (2016), a starring role in Lifetime's Her Stolen Past (2017) and recurring role on Murdoch Mysteries (Season 11).
Shanice trained as a drama and musical theatre student at Toronto's Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts. She is currently based in Toronto.
After 11 seasons on the air, Shanice feels “so grateful to be a part of it.”
