The Pendrick Bullett is an electric car invented by James Pendrick, first introduced in Season 5 of Murdoch Mysteries.
Ivan Wallensky's battery has made the Pendrick Bullet possible. The new type of battery, using nickel and cadmium, is lightweight, powerful, and completely interchangeable – while one set of batteries is in use, the other can be recharging. The batteries are connected in a series so that each battery is small enough to be removed, even by a woman.
When Pendrick and his investors take the company public, he hope to produce vehicles for the single driver, the couple, and the family; For long-distance travel, batteries can be exchanged or charged at roadside service stations which will double as hotels and eateries.
Pendrick states: “It's only the beginning, Murdoch. The Pendrick Bullet will change the face of the nation. With limitless transportation, people will no longer be confined to downtown squalor. Every man will own a house and a piece of land. Cities will be connected both internally and externally by vast highways as wide as the Champs-Élysées.”
