Nathan Peters was the founding member and leader of The Jubilee Singers, popular for the Ol' Plantation songs. They arrive in Toronto as part of their tour and at a time when the new popular music is Ragtime.
Appearance
Nathan was a very stubborn man with righteous faith and was determined to keep his traditions, and refused to let the The Jubilee Singers perform the popular music.
His death was not only a personal tragedy but presents a crisis for The Jubilee Singers surviving members, as well as being the centre focus of Murdoch's investigations.
