Appearances and Mentions[]

Murdoch Au Naturel[]

  • Jean Hamilton complains to the constabulary about a group of female dancers in the Paris Revue touring Canada and other matters. She regularly visits Station House Four to speak with Inspector Brackenreid but he purposely avoids her, knowing that turning her away would lead to Miss Hamilton telling Margaret Brackenreid, who would boot him from the house.
  • Miss Hamilton highlights concern over a burlesque poster highlighting a woman's bare legs and has Constable Crabtree paint over every poster. Impressed with Crabtree's swift response, Miss Hamilton resolves to deal with him in the future as she tells Brackenreid
  • Miss Hamilton later returns into Station House No. 4 to witness Crabtree talking with Hannah Rice about being nude, causing her to emotionally lament that the police are just as immoral and storms out.

Murdoch in Ragtime[]

  • George Crabtree deals with Miss Hamilton, somewhat reluctantly, as he later does.
  • Jean Hamilton is a member of The Temperance League and returns in Season 8 more politically active in her cause. She offers to support the suffragettes' political platform in exchange for heavily endorsing the League's goals, which were ultimately declined.
