Her Majesty's Last Hope is the eleventh episode of Murdoch Mysteries: The Curse of the Lost Pharaohs.

Summary Edit

George grieves Sanura's death, but has no time to do so as he must save the queen. Everything that he dedicated his life to, the British Empire, was in grave danger.

Meanwhile, William Murdoch, Julia Ogden, and Thomas Brackenreid are having an audience with the queen. As Murdoch introduces himself, and as he's about to introduce Julia, Queen Victoria recognizes her.

She asks if Julia is still fencing with the Duke of Kent, to which Julia replies the negative, because she believes he grew tired of losing.

Murdoch then takes a moment to introduce Brackenreid, who is starstruck in her presence. He bows with great respect.

Queen Victoria asks the reason for their being here, and Murdoch tells her about the plot, and how everyone in and around the bank is in danger. As he is about to relay the news of their missing comrade, Crabtree shouts: "William!" and literally slides in from the entrance.

William is shocked, but Crabtree cuts him off by telling them that the sect is there.

The gang craft a plan together: Julia takes the queen to the bank's steel vault, where they'll remain in relative safety. Brackenreid goes to the main floor to fight any who wish them harm, while Crabtree and Murdoch race to find and disarm the bio-cannon.

Queen Victoria (accompanied by a retainer) uses the royal "We" and isn't sure she wants to be locked up there, but Julia assures her it's better than the alternative. Meanwhile, Brackenreid meets Sekhmet in the lobby, who quickly calls three burly men to deal with the inspector.

Crabtree and Murdoch locate the device in the bank manager's office. However, with 90 seconds on the clock, they don't know if they'll be able to disarm it, let alone find the lock. As Crabtree cries, "Good God, man!" Sekhmet appears.

"God?" he laughs. "God cannot help you now!"

George fears Sekhmet is right, as they only have mere moments before the bio-cannon detonates...
