Last Stand for the Empire is the twelfth episode of Murdoch Mysteries: The Curse of the Lost Pharaohs.

Summary[]

Julia has trouble opening the vault, while Brackenreid has his hands full dealing with the goons. Murdoch attempts to stave off Sekhmet so George can disarm the device, however, there's only a minute left.

Growing tired, Julia calls Thomas for some help, but he roars he's a little busy as he punches another thug, then gets punched as well.

Murdoch is fighting Sekhmet unarmed, while he has a khopesh. George enters the combination and Murdoch instructs him to disconnect the explosives to the detonator. Unable to tell the difference, Murdoch screams it's the blue wire.

Continuing to fight, George questions what would Will do as he rips the machine apart, however, an explosion appears, leaving everyone's fate ambiguous.

Cast[]

Yannick Bisson as Detective William Murdoch

Jonny Harris as Constable George Crabtree

Trivia[]

  • The blade Sekhmet uses is different from the one he used to attempt to kill George. It is a khopesh, an Egyptian blade that was used by kings ceremonially and in battle.
  • The tagline at the end says, "To Be Concluded," instead of "To Be Continued," as with other episodes.
