|Dr. Lucas Harwick|
Dr. Lucas Harwick was suspended from the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1894. Harwick had identified the flaws in the blood transfusion treatments but he was wrong. He transfused blood from subject 'A' to Subject 'B' and there was no immune response. But when he transfused from 'B' to 'A', subject 'A' died. Their body rejected the blood. Being a very stubborn and determined man, Harwick continue his work on improving Samuel Armstrong Lane's theories on transfusion, regardless.
Dr. Darcy Garland and Harwick used to work together at Buffalo General Hospital. Hardwick was a visiting physician at the time, researching the immunological reactions in blood serum.
