Clarence MacFarlane is a shipping magnate introduced in Season 7 of Murdoch Mysteries, portrayed by Ted Whittall.

- Clarence first appeared on board his ship on its maiden voyage. Despite a possible threat against the ship, he refused to not sail.
- After Amy disappeared, he and his wife were quite distraught. It is then discovered that Clarence arranged for his own ship to be sabotaged, because he was losing money and the only way to get some back was via the insurance.
- As they were leaving the sinking ship, Clarence refuses to step onto the lifeboat, choosing instead to go down with the ship, despite the entreaties of his family.
